The 2021 International Workshop on Intelligent Software Engineering (ISE 2021)

Description

Software systems have been playing important roles in business, scientific research, and our everyday lives. It is critical to improve both software productivity and quality, which are major challenges to software engineering researchers and practitioners. The 2021 International Workshop on Intelligent Software Engineering (ISE 2021) seeks to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners to discuss and evaluate the latest challenges and breakthroughs in the field of Intelligent Software Engineering, as well as to identify future trends and problems in the area. Communication between academia and industry is intended on one hand to help transfer problems from industry to academia, and on the other hand to provide practical applications for theoretical research results. The workshop welcomes papers and presentations about Intelligent Software Engineering and related areas.

The list of topics includes, but is not limited to:

  • Software defect understanding
  • Software defect prediction
  • Software fault localization
  • Defect analysis and measurement
  • Performance of defect prediction and localization
  • Static and dynamic analysis of security vulnerability
  • Requirement traceability and software quality
  • Software verification and validation
  • Cross-project defect management
  • Defect evaluation and prevention
  • Automatic defect repair
  • Defect analysis in machine learning and big data system
  • Big data analysis and management

Submission

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research papers as well as industrial practice papers. Simultaneous submissions to other conferences are not permitted.

Papers should be written in English and submitted in PDF format. The length of a camera ready paper will be limited to ten pages, including the title of the paper, the name and affiliation of each author, a 150-word abstract, and up to 6 keywords. Shorter version papers (up to four pages) are also allowed.

Authors must follow the ISSSR conference proceedings format (PDF | Word DOCX) to prepare their papers. Each submission will be reviewed by at least three program committee members. Paper selection is based on originality, technical contribution, presentation quality, and relevance to the workshop.

At least one of the authors of each accepted paper is required to pay a full registration fee and present the paper at the workshop. Arrangements are being made to publish selected accepted papers in reputable journals.
